Mountain Picnic Blues is out now on DVD, deluxe edition DVD and download. The film is a documentary on The Charlatans’ 1997 LP Tellin' Stories and also features a live performance of the album in its entirety, filmed in June 2012 at Glasgow's Barrowlands, as part of the Tellin’ Stories 15th anniversary shows.
The deluxe limited edition DVD (shown above), featuring a bespoke design and unreleased tour photographs, is available exclusively from the Merchandise Store. The standard DVD is available from all usual retailers. The DVD is region 0 and available worldwide.

Join members of the band and the film makers for the first ever screening of The Charlatans documentary ‘Mountain Picnic Blues’ on Monday 29th April 2013 at The Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.
This exclusive event premieres the documentary in full and will also include the complete screening of Tellin’ Stories performed live in its entirety from Glasgow’s Barrowland.
Afterwards, a full Q & A with members of the band and the film makers will take place where you can put your questions to them. The event will also include DJ sets and bar until 11pm.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday 18th April from thecharlatans.net/premiere. Tickets to this intimate event are strictly limited, a maximum of 4 tickets per person and under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.

Mountain Picnic Blues is released on DVD on May 6th 2013. The film is a documentary on The Charlatans’ 1997 LP Tellin' Stories, from its creation in 1997 to the 15th anniversary of the album this year. The bonus DVD features a live performance of the album recorded this year at Glasgow’s Barrowlands.
The documentary features interviews with all band members and tells the story of the circumstances surrounding the album’s recording and completion in the aftermath of Rob's death and also how they then handled their support slot shortly afterwards with Oasis at Knebworth in front of 210,000 people.
The bands online store is the ONLY site to offer a deluxe, limited edition DVD package which includes bespoke designs, exclusive unreleased photographs on tour with the band in 1997 and a random limited number will be fully signed by the band.
